no soda makes allison crazie
i was walking home from safeway today with half a donut in my hand and half in my mouth when i realized that i have been eating a lot of junk lately. soda, chips, candy, all the usual vending machine delights. not to mention all the milk tea i've been indulging in. i am disgusting.
i blame the maritime journal office. we have a small snack table that sells snack size doritos and cheetoes for 25 cents and canned soda for 50 cents. i have been assured that these are near to at cost prices. because it's just downstairs from my locker, i have no problem with going down there before i eat my lunch and grabbing a soda to go along with my meal, or grabbing a bag of chips as a midday snack. it's just too easy.
milk tea is delicious, no doubt. if demanded of me, i would readily live off of shelled peanuts, string cheese, and peanuts. and the occasional orange to ward off scurvy. so even though i have to walk a little ways to get to quickly's and get a nice milk tea, i will do it because i love to walk and i love to drink milk tea.
so, dear friends, i have a new resolution for the start of this new lunar year. the year of the ox will be one that has judicious amounts of milk tea, soda, chips, and candy. if you see me at school holding a can of soda, grab it from me and throw it down on the floor, screaming "this stuff is JUNK why do you POLLUTE YOURSELF WITH THIS" all while jumping up and down on the helpless aluminum can and the bubbly carcas of the spilled soda. if you see me with a bag of doritos in my hand do likewise and snatch the bag from my cheesy finger tipped hands and throw it on the ground, screaming and jumping atop the defeated chips, decimating them to the point of fine dust.
hm that got weirdly "braveheart." but anyways, thank you in advance for your help - i really appreciate it. in turn, ALEX AND NING, i give you this as an advance expression of gratitude.

Nice picture of Lee Hom by the way. Have you seen his interview on Talk Asia on CNN? http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Cxg76BPOMdM It was pretty cool.
Second of all, I refuse to physically trample your food although I will deign to take it out of your hand and consume it myself.
Third of all, kidding on the self-consumption. If you bring me the real Lee Hom then I will definitely trample your food. Or else I'll just probably take it away from you and give it to Ning.
