a new way to waste time or rather, a great way to spend your spare and not so spare time
today was the first day of school, so study group and i did what we do best - hole ourselves up in a study room and do random stuff on our laptops while chatting and creating random things to laugh about.
cliff was playing this awesom game on facebook called scramble and when i got home i looked it up and added this app to my profile. it's pretty fun and best of all, you can play live! in the past, i was semi-into the scrabble app on fb, but because the games are kind of slow in that you have to wait for each player to make a move (which could take days!) and because i am a sore and lazy loser who will often just jump ship when i feel the scale tipping to the other side rather than fight it out to the last letter, i phased out the scrabble app and added flair instead.
anyways, i discovered that cliff was right and that scramble is a really good time sucker, but is also fast paced and fun! each game is only 3 minutes so it goes by quickly and it's super easy to just keep on going. additionally, i would also argue that it is a good brain exercise.
when you play live you play against real live facebook users - for all you OG yahoo! games scrabble players, it is much the same and you can pick a room that you want to play in. my personal favorite room in name is the "Singles' Room." This room is described as "Shorter games and longer interludes where flirting is encouraged." There are currently two people in that room. huzzah!
